Cadmium Sulfide Nanoparticles: Synthesis, Characterization, and Antimicrobial Study

چکیده

Group II–VI cadmium sulfide nanoparticles (CdS NPs), a potential alternative to antibiotics, were synthesized using acetate [Cd(Ac)2] as precursor, sodium sulfate reducing agent, and starch capping agent through chemical precipitation techniques. The CdS NPs characterized different characterizing techniques; X-ray diffraction selected area electron patterns verify that the had cubic zinc blende structure with average dimension size of 2.43 nm. Scanning mictroscope transmission microscope images illustrated particles uniformly distributed in cluster form, FTIR EDX confirmed pure. show relevant antimicrobial sensitivity against Gram-positive Gram-negative bacterial strains zone inhibition increases increase concentration nanoparticles. In comparison bacteria, reported be more effective toward Staphylococcus aureus, bacteria.
